In March of 2023, I had the opportunity to visit Prague in the Czech Republic. I stayed at the Hilton Prague, which is one of the largest hotels in Prague. The Hilton Prague, Old Town, is also a great property that is more centrally located in the city center.
During my visit here, which was just under a week, I was able to eat at some really great restaurants, see some of the famous bridges, buildings and statues in Prague, and enjoy the culture.
On the first night, my friend and I stumbled into a restaurant on a whim, no reservations. We were kindly greeted, offered an english menu (Which I thought was a nice touch), and were able to sit at the last table available. They were so kind to us, taking our jackets, and pulling out our chairs.
It was only later that night, when we were leaving, did we realize we at just eaten at a Michelin Guide Restaurant.....no wonder the food was so good!
Restaurant: Cafe Imperial
Originally, we had walked past this restaurant but ultimately were attracted by how stunning the marble pillars were from the outside. Let me tell you, the food did not disappoint!
On days 2 and 3, we spent most of our time exploring the city which is very accessible vis walking. By the time we were done walking, we had to have reached 30,000 steps. Our feet were on fire. Which reminds me, I visited Prague in the beginning of March and let me tell you, it was cold. Jackets are recommended and good walking shoes are always a good idea.
Some of the places I recommend visiting:
Prague Astronomical Clock
Charles Bridge
Prague Castle
Lennon Wall
St. Vitus Cathedral
If you get an Uber, or a taxi and take it to Prague Castle or the St. Vitus Cathedral (They are right next to one another), you can walk down the hill (Which sounds like a lot, but I promise it is not, it is very manageable) once down the hill, you will find the Lennon Wall. From there, you can cross Charles Bridge and once across, you can follow the winding city path to the Astronomical clock and Old Town. You can really hit everything all in one day from starting at the Prague Castle, which is great!
Your packing list should include the following:
*If you are traveling in February or March*
Jeans
Comfortable pants (Long is preferred)
Long sleeve shirts
Tennis shoes / good walking shoes
Blazers
Sweaters
Jackets
I hope you enjoyed this quick read about some of my recommendations on Prague.
Safe travels, and cheers!
